Josiah Bates is a writer and journalist, currently working as a reporter at TIME Magazine. He covers national news with a focus on social issues, criminal justice and race.

Outside of journalism, Josiah is also pursuing a career as a screenwriter and television writer, primarily writing in the crime drama genre.

He is a graduate of Penn State University and Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
